Lambda
Lambda — a reference card for a crypto project: what the product does and how verifiable the project’s key claims are; also — alignment with the Decentralized AI thesis (DecAI Fit).
Lambda — an Infra project (omnichain modular storage; AI intent) with its own Lambda Chain network and LAMBDA token.
Disclaimer
Important: this page is a reference overview of the project. Within DecAIHub, we separately record a verification based on open sources within the AI thesis (what is real AI/onchain/why a token, and which sources this is based on).
This is not financial advice and not a recommendation to buy/sell/hold any asset. We do not assess price, returns, or entry/exit timing.
Conclusions are based on publicly available materials found as of the verification date. The absence of confirmation does not imply the absence of the technology.
TL;DR (for readers who are not into AI)
- What it is: modular storage/DA infrastructure: a file management service on top of IPFS and a storage network with onchain accounting for statements and proof mechanics for availability.
- Who it’s for: dApp/rollup developers, users/creators, storage providers (miners) and verifying roles.
- Why onchain/token: onchain records storage statements and distributes incentives; the token is used for staking/incentives for storage nodes and, per the description, for payment for persistent storage through Market.
How it works (very briefly)
- The user uploads data/registers storage: submits a CID/size (storage statement) onchain.
- Storage providers store data: synchronize with onchain statements and provide proofs (PDP) for availability.
- Verifying roles confirm proofs: verifiers publish results, while the onchain module distributes rewards.
- Where the blockchain is: onchain contracts for statements/PDP/incentives and Market.
- Token role: staking for storage providers and incentives; payment for persistent storage through Market (per the Tier‑1 description).

General project overview
Per the Tier‑1 documentation, Lambda is positioned as “omnichain modular storage” and states that it uses Ethereum L2 and permanent storage services. The documentation describes Lambda Storage as a file management service with IPFS‑compatible access and onchain layers for storage statements and storage incentives.
The key idea: data storage is performed by storage providers (miners), who receive rewards for correct proofs of availability (PDP). The onchain layer contains contracts/accounting for statements, PDP and incentives, as well as Market, through which payment for persistent storage is described.
Features/modules
- Lambda Storage (LWS): an IPFS‑wrapped interface and dApp/SDK for uploading/managing files.
- Onchain contracts: statements, PDP and incentives.
- Storage Market: storage market contracts (prices/payment/persistence).
Typical scenarios
- Scenario 1: a developer saves content to IPFS through Lambda Storage → records a statement onchain and gains access to scalable content delivery.
- Scenario 2: a storage provider stakes the token and provides proofs → receives rewards.
Getting started (wallet/network)
- What you need: an EVM wallet and access to the Lambda Chain network RPC/Explorer (see links_*).
- Network/chain: Lambda Chain Mainnet (ChainId 56026), gas currency ETH.
- Fees: network fees for onchain statements/Market operations.
Architecture/tech (non‑AI)
- Components: storage statement, PDP/incentives and Market contracts; the storage network (miners) and challenger/verifier roles.
- Participant roles: users/creators, developers, storage providers (miners), challengers/verifiers, consensus nodes (validators).
- Where logic runs: proofs are computed offchain, results/accounting and incentives are recorded onchain.
- Dependencies: IPFS (as an access interface), network RPC/Explorer.
Token/economics (expanded, no forecasts)
- Token utility: storage providers stake the token; rewards are linked to participation in storage/consensus (per the description).
- Payment for the service: payment through the Market contract is described for persistent storage.

Ecosystem/integrations
- Integrations: not established per Tier‑1.
- Partners: not established per Tier‑1.
- Where it’s actually used: not established per Tier‑1.
AI component of the project
- What is real AI here? In the Tier‑1 positioning, AI is listed as a scenario/audience (“supports … AI”), but no Tier‑1 confirmation of the protocol’s own AI component was found.
- What is truly onchain? Lambda Chain (mainnet/testnet) and onchain contracts/accounting for storage statements/PDP/incentives/Market.
- Why is a token needed? Staking for storage providers and incentives; payment for persistence through Market is also described.
- Red flags (based on the information found): AI is listed as “supports”, but without specifics about the AI component; requires careful separation of storage infrastructure and AI marketing.
