Disclaimer
Important: this page is a reference overview of the project. Within DecAIHub, we separately record a verification based on open sources within the AI thesis (what is real AI/onchain/why a token, and which sources this is based on).
This is not financial advice and not a recommendation to buy/sell/hold any asset. We do not assess price, returns, or entry/exit timing.
Conclusions are based on publicly available materials found as of the verification date. The absence of confirmation does not imply the absence of the technology.
TL;DR (for readers who are not into AI)
- What it is: a network/platform that aggregates GPU capacity and offers model training and inference “as a service”, plus its own NetMind Chain network for accounting of tasks/payments/rewards.
- Who it’s for: teams/developers who need training/inference, and GPU owners who provide resources.
- Why onchain/token: in the whitepaper, NMT is described as the means of payment for training/inference and as the reward for providing GPUs; NetMind Chain is described as the onchain layer for “tasks, transactions and functions” and for smart‑contract‑based distribution of rewards.
- What you can actually touch (Tier‑1): API docs + SDK (there are instructions for obtaining an API key and a usage example via the Python SDK): https://netmind-power.gitbook.io/netmind-power-documentation
How it works (very briefly)
- The user does: rents GPUs / runs training / runs model inference via the platform.
- The system does: distributes tasks across GPU participants, accounts for fees and distributes payouts/rewards; in the inference layer, containerization, auto‑scaling and task assignment optimization are claimed.
- The user gets: the training/inference result, while GPU providers receive rewards.
- Where the blockchain is: NetMind Chain — an EVM‑compatible public chain with POA (per the whitepaper); smart contracts manage reward calculation/withdrawal and task scheduling/fee payment.
- Token role: payment for training/inference, mining rewards for GPU providers, staking rewards and a cross‑chain bridge (per the whitepaper).

General project overview
In the whitepaper, NetMind describes a “volunteer computing network” and two product planes: the Training Platform and the Inference Platform. The Inference Platform is described as a way to deploy and run inference of models (own and open‑source) with API access; containerization, auto‑scaling and an algorithm for assigning tasks to the most suitable GPUs are claimed.
Separately described is NetMind Chain — a public EVM‑compatible chain based on the Ethereum protocol and using POA (Proof of Authority). The whitepaper says that the blockchain is used to decentralize “tasks, transactions and functions” on the platform, while smart contracts manage reward calculation/withdrawal and task scheduling/fee payment. It also clarifies that the training process itself takes place locally on machines, not “on the blockchain”.
Features/modules
- Inference Platform: model deployment, API access, containerization, auto‑scaling, task assignment optimization, security (encryption/secure enclaves/SMPC).
- NetMind Chain: onchain accounting of rewards and scheduling/fees (per the whitepaper).
- Tokenomics NMT: payment for training/inference + mining rewards and staking rewards + cross‑chain bridge.
Typical scenarios
- Scenario 1: a developer/team deploys a model → runs inference via the API → pays a utilization fee in NMT; the GPU provider receives part of the fee (per the whitepaper).
- Scenario 2: a GPU owner connects a machine to the network → receives mining rewards for uptime/connection (per the whitepaper).
- Scenario 3: a user stakes NMT on nodes → receives staking rewards; the top‑21 by stake become Master Nodes (per the whitepaper).
Getting started (wallet/network)
- What you need: an account/access to the NetMind Power platform; for the token — an EVM wallet.
- Network/chain: NetMind Chain (the utility layer) and Ethereum (the NMT ERC‑20 contract).
- Fees: gas of the respective network + utilization fees (NMT) for training/inference.
Architecture/tech (non‑AI)
- Components: GPU providers (volunteer computing resources), task/reward distribution, NetMind Chain smart contracts, model containers and the inference API layer.
- Where logic runs: training/inference — offchain on GPU machines; accounting/payouts/scheduling — onchain (NetMind Chain).
Token/economics (expanded, no forecasts)
Per Tier‑1 “NetMind Token”:
- Total supply: 147,571,163 NMT.
- Features: payment for training/inference and rewards for contributing GPU resources.
- Tokenomics update: since 2024‑04‑16 the framework has been updated; a plan to issue 113,000,000 NMT over 10 years as part of the “new issuance” is described.
- Reward types: mining reward (for connection/uptime), machine utilization fee (fee distribution in Sync/Async modes with a partial return to the contract), staking rewards (staking on 21 master nodes).
- Cross‑chain bridge: a bridge between NetMind Chain and BNB Smart Chain for NMT is claimed.
Governance
- Who makes decisions: — (not confirmed by the Tier‑1 sources in this card).
Security and incidents
- Security (inference): the whitepaper claims encryption, secure enclaves and secure multi‑party computation.
- Audits/bug bounty: no public Tier‑1 links were found.
Project status and timeline
- Current status: the whitepaper and docs are available; the NMT token is described and has an onchain contract.
AI component of the project
- What is real AI here? The Tier‑1 whitepaper describes training and inference platforms for AI models (deployment, scaling, API, security).
- What is truly onchain? The Tier‑1 whitepaper describes NetMind Chain as the layer that manages tasks/fees and reward calculation/withdrawal via smart contracts.
- Why is a token needed? Per the whitepaper: payment for training/inference and rewards to GPU providers; staking rewards and a bridge to BSC.
- Red flags (based on the information found): no public Tier‑1 links to a smart contract audit/security; access to the product may require an account/API key.
