Wayfinder
Wayfinder — a reference card for a crypto project: what the product does and how verifiable the project’s key claims are; also — alignment with the Decentralized AI thesis (DecAI Fit).
Wayfinder — an AI/Agents | Infra project: AI agents (“shells”) for performing blockchain tasks (swap/bridge/deployments, etc.) via natural language. Token: PROMPT (ERC‑20 on Ethereum).
Disclaimer
Important: this page is a reference overview of the project. Within DecAIHub, we separately record a verification based on open sources within the AI thesis (what is real AI/onchain/why a token, and which sources this is based on).
This is not financial advice and not a recommendation to buy/sell/hold any asset. We do not assess price, returns, or entry/exit timing.
Conclusions are based on publicly available materials found as of the verification date. The absence of confirmation does not imply the absence of the technology.
TL;DR (for readers who are not into AI)
- What it is: an app and a protocol layer around “shell” agents that can perform onchain operations (swap/bridge/contract deployment, etc.) on a text command.
- Who it’s for: Web3 users (perform actions without manually “clicking” through dapps), teams/developers (infrastructure for agent integrations).
- Why onchain/token: onchain is the execution environment (transactions from the wallet); PROMPT is claimed as the token for transactions/“gas”, premium features, staking and governance.
- What you can actually touch (Tier‑1):
https://app.wayfinder.ai/(login/signup),https://cache.wayfinder.ai/claim-prompt, the whitepaper PDFhttps://paper.wayfinder.ai/wayfinder_paper_v1.pdf.
How it works (very briefly)
- The user does: enters the Wayfinder App and formulates a command in plain text (e.g., “bridge and swap”).
- The system does: interprets the intent and (per the whitepaper) uses “wayfinding paths/graph” as a map of smart contracts and tools for routing actions.
- The user gets: a plan/execution of onchain operations (swap/bridge/deploy) from their own wallet.
- Where the blockchain is: transactions are executed in the selected networks/protocols; PROMPT is an ERC‑20 on Ethereum, recorded by Etherscan.
- Token role: PROMPT is claimed as a utility+governance token; the website states its use for transactions/gas and premium access, the whitepaper — also for staking/slashing on paths and participation in governance.

General project overview
Wayfinder is positioned as an “AI‑driven omnichain protocol” for performing blockchain tasks via natural language. In the whitepaper’s terms, the user creates/owns an AI agent (“shell”) that is able to:
- interpret the intent (what the user wants);
- find and safely call the needed smart contracts/functions via “wayfinding paths” and a knowledge graph;
- initiate onchain transactions and (per the whitepaper) request confirmation before performing actions.
Separately, there is a “Cache” interface for early participation/caching of PRIME and interaction with the ecosystem.
Features/modules
- Wayfinder App: the UI for the account/access to agents and execution of commands (login/signup).
- Shell agents: an agent with a wallet and memory; controlled via text commands.
- Wayfinding paths + Graph: a library of “routes” and a map of smart contracts/functions used for navigating and executing actions.
- Verification agents (whitepaper): verification of new paths and security via stake/slashing and review.
- PROMPT token: a utility+governance token, claimed as the fuel of the economy (fees/gas/premium/staking).
Typical scenarios
- Scenario 1 (user): “Bridge and swap” → the agent selects a path and initiates transactions in the required networks.
- Scenario 2 (user): “Create a token/NFT” → the agent helps deploy a contract/perform a deployment (claimed on the website as a use case).
- Scenario 3 (community): creation/verification of new wayfinding paths with a token stake (whitepaper) → expansion of the path library.
Getting started (wallet/network)
- What you need: an account in the Wayfinder App + a Web3 wallet for executing transactions.
- Network/chain: an omnichain orientation is claimed (the whitepaper lists Ethereum/Solana/Base/Cosmos, etc.); the PROMPT token is confirmed on Ethereum.
- Fees: gas of the selected network + (per the website/whitepaper) fees/“gas” in PROMPT and/or payment for premium features.
Architecture/tech (non‑AI)
- Components: web app (app/cache), the onchain PROMPT ERC‑20 token (Ethereum), the “wayfinding paths” library and the graph (the whitepaper states that the graph may be stored offchain with onchain snapshots).
- Participant roles: users/owners of shell agents; path creators; verifiers (verification agents); governance participants.
- Where logic runs: orchestration/graph/part of the data — offchain; execution of actions — onchain transactions in the selected networks; PROMPT onchain on Ethereum.
- Dependencies: the networks and dapps where operations are executed (DEXes/bridges/marketplaces), RPC infrastructure; the LLM layer and RAG/memory (whitepaper).
Token/economics (expanded, no forecasts)
- Token utility (Tier‑1): on the website, PROMPT is described as the token for transactions/gas fees and premium features; in the whitepaper — payment for shell minting, fees for using paths, payment for memory expansion, etc.
- Staking/slashing (Tier‑1): in the whitepaper, token staking is used when proposing new wayfinding paths, with slashing for incorrect/dangerous paths.
- Governance (Tier‑1): the whitepaper describes governance via the token.
- Supply (Tier‑1): the whitepaper (Mar 2024) discusses a “proposed” max supply of 1B (subject to governance), while Etherscan shows a Max Total Supply of 877,593,504.185773 and the contract was created on 2025‑03‑20; we record this as a possible “paper vs implementation” mismatch.
Governance
- Who makes decisions: token governance (whitepaper) / the community.
- How protocol parameters change: via governance processes (whitepaper: “subject to community approval/ratification”).
- Where:
—(a forum/snapshot is not recorded per Tier‑1). - Keys/multisig:
—.
Security and incidents
- Audits:
—(not found inlinks_*and Tier‑1 sources per Tier‑1). - Bug bounty:
—. - Incidents:
—(no public postmortems/incidents are recorded). - Threat model: the risk of LLM/planning errors, the risk of “nefarious pathways” and incorrect paths; the whitepaper describes mitigation mechanisms (verification agents + stake/slashing + pre‑execution checks/confirmation by the owner).
Project status and timeline
- Current status: the app is available (login/signup), the PROMPT token exists on Ethereum mainnet.
- Key milestones: whitepaper v1.0 (Mar 2024); creation of the PROMPT contract (2025‑03‑20).
- Roadmap:
—.
Ecosystem/integrations
- Integrations: the whitepaper mentions potential integrations with Langchain / LlamaIndex / Autogen; omnichain support of various networks and applications via wayfinding paths.
- Partners: the link to the Echelon Prime / Parallel Studios ecosystem is mentioned in the whitepaper.
- Where it’s actually used: the Wayfinder App (
app.wayfinder.ai) and Cache (cache.wayfinder.ai) as public entrypoints.
AI component of the project
- What is real AI here? LLM‑oriented “shell” agents that understand natural language intent and plan/perform actions in the Web3 environment; the whitepaper describes memory/RAG and “purpose‑built LLMs”.
- What is truly onchain? PROMPT is an ERC‑20 on Ethereum; the product’s claimed purpose is to initiate and confirm onchain operations (swap/bridge/deploy) from the wallet.
- Why is a token needed? PROMPT is claimed as a utility+governance token: fees/gas/premium features, shell minting, staking/slashing for paths and governance.
- Red flags (based on the information found): a mismatch between the “whitepaper (proposed token / Solana residency)” vs the current onchain fact of PROMPT on Ethereum; it is unclear which part of the “protocol” is already onchain vs an offchain service; there are no public metrics of the agent’s quality/security.
