NATIX Network

NATIX Network — a reference card for a crypto project: what the product does and how verifiable the project’s key claims are; also — alignment with the Decentralized AI thesis (DecAI Fit).

NATIX Network — a DePIN | Data | AI project on the Solana network: it builds a global camera network (smartphones, Tesla cameras, etc.) to collect geo/visual data, which is turned into privacy‑compliant metadata (numeric events/objects/coordinates) using computer‑vision AI on the device (edge). Token: NATIX (SPL).

Disclaimer

Important: this page is a reference overview of the project. Within DecAIHub, we separately record a verification based on open sources within the AI thesis (what is real AI/onchain/why a token, and which sources this is based on).
This is not financial advice and not a recommendation to buy/sell/hold any asset. We do not assess price, returns, or entry/exit timing.
Conclusions are based on publicly available materials found as of the verification date. The absence of confirmation does not imply the absence of the technology.

TL;DR (for readers who are not into AI)

  • What it is: a “drive‑to‑earn” app and a camera network that collect road/city data and sell it as data for maps/physical AI.
  • Who it’s for: drivers/network participants (who earn), as well as developers/companies (who buy data).
  • Why onchain/token: the token is needed for rewards/staking/validator nodes and governance; the onchain layer — for the economy and participation (staking/governance/xNodes).
  • What you can actually touch (Tier‑1): https://www.natix.network/drive-earn-app

How it works (very briefly)

  1. The user does: installs Drive& and drives with detection mode enabled.
  2. The system does: CV models analyze the video stream locally, and the network receives only “metadata” (numeric events), without sending photos/videos or PII.
  3. The user gets: points/rewards and the ability to convert the in‑app balance into NATIX.
  4. Where the blockchain is: staking/validator nodes (xNodes) and governance are tied to the NATIX token (SPL, Solana).
  5. Token role (if any): reward unit, staking for participation (xNodes), voting power in governance, in‑app utilities/premium features and marketplace purchases.

General project overview

In the Tier‑1 whitepaper, NATIX Network describes its strategy as building a “crowdsourced camera network”, where existing cameras (smartphones, cars, IoT) are turned into “super sensors” and collect geospatial signals for the Decentralized Dynamic Map (DDMap). The key barrier — privacy — is addressed through “privacy‑by‑design”: computer vision AI analyzes the video stream locally and turns it into “metadata” (numeric data), while personal features (faces/license plates) are “irreversibly discarded”.

The product entry point is the Drive& app (“drive and earn”): the user mounts a smartphone on the dashboard, drives in detection mode, receives points/rewards and can convert them into the NATIX token. The network economy describes the participants (Detectors, xNodes, Data Consumers, Governance Participants) and the role of staking/validation/governance on the token.

Features/modules

  • Drive& (mobile app): data collection “on the go” + rewards, missions, referral mechanics.
  • Privacy‑compliant metadata mining: CV anonymization and an edge architecture (no transfer of raw photos/videos).
  • DDMap (Decentralized Dynamic Map): a dynamic layer of maps/events as a “byproduct” of the network.
  • xNodes (validator nodes): nodes that verify and transmit metadata.
  • Token economy: staking, governance and incentives/rewards for participants.

Typical scenarios

  • Scenario 1 (Detector/driver): enables Drive& detection → CV models detect events → points are accrued → points are converted/used → part becomes NATIX.
  • Scenario 2 (xNode): stakes NATIX for a long period → becomes a validator → performs validation tasks → receives rewards.
  • Scenario 3 (Data Consumer): subscribes to and “pays for” real‑time data → uses the data for maps/Physical AI/analytics.

Getting started (wallet/network)

  • What you need: a smartphone + the Drive& app; for onchain activities — a Solana wallet (the token page states that Solana wallets are supported).
  • Network/chain: NATIX is a token on the Solana network.
  • Fees: Solana fees for onchain operations (staking/transfers, etc., if applicable).

Architecture/tech (non‑AI)

  • Components: the mobile client (Drive&), the DDMap layer/data pipeline, xNodes (validation), the onchain token layer (Solana), an SDK (Vision SDK) for privacy‑preserving “mApplets”.
  • Participant roles: Detectors (collection), xNodes (validation/transmission), Data Consumers (purchase/consumption), Governance participants (governance).
  • Where logic runs: detection/anonymization — edge (on the device); validation/transmission — via xNodes; economic accounting/staking/voting — onchain on the token.
  • Dependencies: Solana (SPL token), the application/data marketplace infrastructure, the network of validator nodes.

Token/economics (expanded, no forecasts)

  • Token utility (Tier‑1): in‑app premium features/marketplace offers, rewards/perks, staking, network participation (xNodes), system governance.
  • Protocol necessity drivers: the token is used as the reward unit and as a requirement/mechanism for participation (staking → governance / validation).
  • Who pays fees: participants for onchain operations (Solana fees); Data Consumers “subscribe to, pay for, and consume” data (at the level of the actor roles in the whitepaper).
  • Issuance/burn: the total supply is fixed — 100B NATIX; detailed inflation parameters are not described → treat as fixed.
  • Security/incentive mechanisms: a staking requirement against abuse; xNodes and governance power are tied to a long‑term stake; an optional “instant withdrawal” with forfeiture of a percentage.
  • Distribution and token issuance schedule: Team+Advisors 20% (9m cliff + 30m vest), Incentivization pool 37% (per usage), Liquidity 8% (unlocked at TGE), Early backers 24.9% (10% at TGE + cliff + vest), Public Sale 5%, Reserve 5.1%.
  • Treasury: the incentivization pool and the reserve are described in the token distribution (the details of managing the funds are not disclosed in these sections).

Governance

  • Who makes decisions: token holders with staked NATIX (voting power depends on the staking period).
  • How protocol parameters change: governance rollout in 3 phases (limited → increased → full decentralization).
  • Where decisions are discussed/made: — (the whitepaper describes the phases, but the specific tool/contract is not specified).
  • Keys/multisig: —.

Security and incidents

  • Audits: — (no Tier‑1 reports on the onchain contracts/protocol were found within this card).
  • Bug bounty: —.
  • Incidents: —.
  • Threat model: privacy (leaks of raw data), detection quality/metadata forgery, attacks on incentives/validation (xNodes), abuse of “instant withdrawal”.

Project status and timeline

  • Current status: an active product (the Drive& app) and an active network of participants (coverage map).
  • Key releases/milestones: 2024-04-25 — announcement of the NATIX launch on Solana (blog); whitepaper — the basic description of the economy/participants/technology.
  • Roadmap: — (there is no separate Tier‑1 roadmap document in this card; there is news in the blog).

Ecosystem/integrations

  • Integrations: Solana wallets (for Drive&), the onchain SPL token, the xNodes network (per the whitepaper).
  • Partners: the website has a list of logos; without formal Tier‑1 proof of integrations, within this card we record this as context, not as evidence.
  • Where it’s actually used: the Drive& app (product) and the coverage map (a public artifact of coverage/metrics).

AI component of the project

  • What is real AI here? proprietary computer‑vision AI performs detection and anonymization on the device, turning video into “privacy‑compliant metadata” (edge computing + anonymized detection).
  • What is truly onchain? the NATIX token (Solana SPL) + staking/participation in validation (xNodes) + governance power on the staked token.
  • Why is a token needed? rewards/perks, staking (xNodes/participation), in‑app utilities and governance voting.
  • Red flags (based on the information found): AI‑washing (low) (there is a Tier‑1 technical description of the pipeline); onchain‑washing (medium) (much of the logic is offchain/edge, onchain criticality is not proven by a replacement test); token‑washing (medium) (the utility is described, but some details of the staking programs are “published later”).
