NeuralAI

NeuralAI — a reference card for a crypto project: what the product does and how verifiable the project’s key claims are; also — alignment with the Decentralized AI thesis (DecAI Fit).

NeuralAI — an AI/Inference | Infra project for generating 3D models (text‑to‑3D / image‑to‑3D): there is a user‑facing web product (dApp) and an open‑source implementation of a Bittensor subnet (miners/validators), where distributed miners generate 3D meshes and validators evaluate quality/speed. Token: NEURAL (ERC‑20 on Ethereum).

Disclaimer

Important: this page is a reference overview of the project. Within DecAIHub, we separately record a verification based on open sources within the AI thesis (what is real AI/onchain/why a token, and which sources this is based on).
This is not financial advice and not a recommendation to buy/sell/hold any asset. We do not assess price, returns, or entry/exit timing.
Conclusions are based on publicly available materials found as of the verification date. The absence of confirmation does not imply the absence of the technology.

TL;DR (for readers who are not into AI)

  • What it is: an “on‑demand” 3D asset generator + a distributed network of compute providers (miners/validators) for generation.
  • Who it’s for: game/VR developers, 3D artists, content teams.
  • Why onchain/token: the token is used for payments/access (token‑gated services) and in the incentive economy; separately, there is an onchain token layer (ERC‑20) and subnet mechanics in Bittensor.
  • What you can actually touch (Tier‑1): the public dApp gallery — https://app.goneural.ai/public-gallery; the technical description of the subnet (miners/validators) — https://github.com/GoNeuralAI/neural-subnet

How it works (very briefly)

  1. The user does: enters text/an image in the dApp to get a 3D model.
  2. The system does: (per the Tier‑1 repo) validators send requests to miners; miners generate a 3D mesh; validators render/compare and assign scores.
  3. The user gets: a 3D asset/mesh (and/or access to assets in the ecosystem).
  4. Where the blockchain is: incentives/weights/accounting of subnet participants are tied to the Bittensor approach (per the docs/README); the NEURAL token exists as an ERC‑20 asset on Ethereum.
  5. Token role (if any): (per the Tier‑1 docs) NEURAL is used in marketplace transactions and for token‑gated access to GPU rent / miner templates.

General project overview

In the Tier‑1 documentation, NeuralAI is described as a product that “leverages generative AI” for text‑to‑3D and image‑to‑3D, and also as an initiative to build a 3D AI Bittensor subnet: miners generate 3D assets, validators evaluate the results and assign weights/scores. The user side is visible as a dApp (public gallery), and the infrastructure side — as the open‑source code of the subnet.

Features/modules

  • 3D dApp: generation of 3D assets from text/images (positioning in the docs).
  • Subnet miners/validators: roles, installation and launch are described in the README.
  • Marketplace/economy: the docs claim asset tokenization, transactions in NEURAL and fee distribution.

Typical scenarios

  • Scenario 1 (user): enters a prompt → receives a 3D asset → exports/uses it in a pipeline.
  • Scenario 2 (miner): receives a task from a validator → generates a 3D mesh → sends it to the validator → receives a score/weight.
  • Scenario 3 (validator): distributes tasks among miners → compares the prompt and the renders → assigns scores and weights.

Getting started (wallet/network)

  • What you need: to view the demo — web access to the public gallery; for onchain operations — an Ethereum wallet and NEURAL (if participating in ERC‑20 operations).
  • Network/chain: token — Ethereum; the subnet part is described as a Bittensor subnet (non‑EVM).
  • Fees: Ethereum gas for ERC‑20 actions.

Architecture/tech (non‑AI)

  • Components: an open‑source subnet (Python); a generation environment (PyTorch/CUDA); the dApp.
  • Participant roles: miners (compute), validators (quality/scoring), users.
  • Where logic runs: generation — offchain; validation — offchain; incentives/weights — at the level of the Bittensor subnet mechanics (as an architectural goal/design).

Token/economics (expanded, no forecasts)

  • Token utility: the Tier‑1 docs claim that marketplace transactions are conducted in NEURAL and that services such as GPU rent/miner templates will be token‑gated.
  • Where fees go: the Tier‑1 docs describe a 5% fee and its distribution: 2.5% to holders / 2.5% to project growth.
  • Issuance/burn: a total supply of 10M is listed on the website; there are no other parameters in the available Tier‑1 sources → —.

Governance

  • Who makes decisions: —.

Security and incidents

  • Audits: the public Hacken audits page lists NeuralAI as an audited project on Ethereum.
  • Incidents: —.

Project status and timeline

  • Current status: the dApp (gallery) is available; the repo is published.
  • Key milestones: token launch 2024‑03‑21 (per the website); subnet versioning (v1/v2) is described in the README.

Ecosystem/integrations

  • Integrations: Bittensor (subnet), Ethereum (ERC‑20), the dApp.

AI component of the project

  • What is real AI here? generative model(s) create 3D meshes from text/visual inputs; validators evaluate quality using the “prompt → renders → similarity/scoring” scheme (described in the Tier‑1 repo).
  • What is truly onchain? the ERC‑20 token NEURAL on Ethereum and the claimed subnet economy based on Bittensor.
  • Why is a token needed? token‑gating of services (GPU rent/miner templates) and settlements/fees in the marketplace with revenue share (Tier‑1 docs).
  • Red flags (based on the information found): the onchain details of the Bittensor layer are not specified in the project’s docs (consensus/exact onchain primitives) → the assessment of onchain necessity is conservative.

  • Conflict note (if any): —

OC_2 — onchain beyond just a token (1/0)

  • OC_2 (decision): 1
  • What useful logic is onchain: the subnet incentive economy (weights/scores) as part of the Bittensor approach (miners/validators).
  • Evidence: Tier‑1 — https://docs.goneural.ai/neuralai (Bittensor Subnet); https://github.com/GoNeuralAI/neural-subnet
